Continuing Education

Our Continuing Education classes are effective as a means to stay connected in between our main curriculum, the three “Talking 'The Talk' Together” courses. These classes are great refreshers of information, and also are great for groups who may want to start on “lighter” topics before discussing sex and growing up. We can also customize topics upon request.

Body Image & Self Esteem

Body Image & Self-Esteem 1 (kids 9-12 years old)

Internet & Media

I’m Media Savvy- We examine print, television, and movie media and illustrate how sex is portrayed in an inaccurate way. We encourage kids not to be misled by what they see on T.V., by images of beauty portrayed in magazines, or by anything else they see or hear in the media.
Internet Safety 1 (kids 9-12 years old)- Basic information about how to use the internet safely and why this topic is so important. Plus, great tips for parents about how to keep their children safe.
Internet Safety 2 (kids 13-16 years old)- Teens are all over the internet these days, so we emphasize the importance of being safe, along with what information should be kept OFF the internet to protect not only against predators, but also from developing a bad reputation. Social Networking sites, internet pornography, and cyber bullying are just a few of the topics discussed.

Prevention (Birth Control, STDs, Rape)

Girls in Control (for girls)- Refusal and negotiation skills, taking control, and date rape prevention

Communication (Friends, Cliques, Parents)

Dealing with Friends & Cliques
How to Talk to Parents about S-E-X!- Kids struggle to broach topics with their parents as much as parents do with their kids, so this class teaches them how to bring up difficult topics, such as sex, with their parents.

Retreats

Are you part of, or wish to form, a group of moms and daughters, or fathers and sons? Many groups enjoy a completely customized, weekend retreat of bonding exercises and fun educational activities, plus special memories to last a lifetime.

Course Fees

Though fees for single sessions, specialized classes, and parenting courses may vary, below is a general guideline of fees.

One session: $40 per parent/child pair
Two sessions: $70 per parent/child pair
Three sessions: $100 per parent/child pair
Four sessions: $125 per parent/child pair
Five sessions: 5th session is FREE
